2006 Carlisle Syrah Russian River Valley
I let this wine breath for about 5 hours.
The blueberry and violets really jump out at you on the nose of this wine. I also detected some hints of spicy earth and blackberry. The palate is very rich, and had blackberry, blueberry, earth, spice, and a good floral finish.

2006 Deviation Road Pinot Gris
The nose was very tight, but I did get some tropical fruit, some lemon, and a hint of floral notes toward the end. The palate was crisp, and had tropical fruit, citrus, pear, and a nice finish of spice and flowers.

2006 Domaine Servin Chablis Premier Cuvee Les Pargues
The nose had apple, pear, and stone. The palate was crisp, with good minerality, and had very rich flavors of apple, and a floral finish.

2006 Pax Syrah Alder Springs Vineyard
I let this wine breath for about 6 hours.
The nose was loaded with licorice and tobacco, but it also had hints of stone and plum. The palate was rich and thick, with blackberries and plum, and a nice floral finish.

2004 Pax Syrah Richards Family Vineyard
A beautiful nose of espresso, lavender, earth, blackberry, and cassis. The palate had blackberry and truffles, a little cassis, and a floral finish.

2006 Pazo de Señorans Albariño Rías Baixas
The nose had fresh flowers, peach, and lemon pie. The palate was crisp, and had citrus, peach, and a floral finish.

2005 Brutocao Quadriga Hopland Ranches
The nose had a fair amount of cherry, some chocolate, a little pepper, and a nice floral finish. The palate was rich, and had cherry and chocolate, a bunch of pepper, and a good finish of earth.

2006 M. Chapoutier Crozes-Hermitage Les Meysonniers
The nose had an overwhelming aroma of persimmons. It also had some peach and lemon, and ended with some orange jam. The palate was fat, and had lots of floral notes, orange, and peach. It finished with some stone flavors.

2006 Pascual Toso Malbec Reserve
The nose had lots of smoke, some spice and graphite, and ended with some cherry and floral notes. The palate had wood, smoke, cherry, floral notes, and a pencil lead finish.

2005 Pax Syrah Castelli-Knight Ranch
I decanted this wine about 6 hours.
This wine was very floral on the nose. It also had a bit of pepper and a blackberry pie smell. The nose finished with a stone aroma. The palate was very thick and had blackberry and graphite, and finished with an iron, pepper, and floral mix.
